Vocabulary List

The following is a complete list of words occurring in the story Ana Sikili Kantice.   Vocabulary entries are read as follows:

  1. The first item is the Vabungula word.
  2. The second item is a number indicating which syllable receives the stress.  For instance, agula 2 means that the stress is on the second syllable.
  3. The third item indicates part of speech.  Only nouns, verbs, adjectives/adverbs are considered.  All others are designated as "x", meaning "other".  Verbs are further classified as transitive (vt), intransitive (vi), auxiliary verbs (vv), or any combination of the three.
  4. The fourth and following items represent the English translation(s).

Please note that only basic forms of words are included in this list.  Plurals and other forms are not included.  Consult the grammar for a complete explanation of what kind endings can be attached to words.
